To celebrate the announcement, The Ivy Winchester Brasserie team enjoyed a toast with The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Winchester, Cllr David MacLean at the City’s famous Buttercross monument, just yards from The Ivy Winchester Brasserie. Team members including General Manager, Reza Najafi and Head Chef, Luis Gonzales, were joined by waiting staff to celebrate in one of Winchester’s most loved settings.

Located within the heart of Winchester at 103-104 High Street, The Ivy Winchester Brasserie will offer sophisticated and friendly all-day dining to both residents and visitors alike. With capacity for approximately 150 covers, guests will be able to enjoy the main restaurant and bar, as well as a Parisian-style terrace during the warmer months. The brasserie’s all-encompassing menus will offer a wide selection of British classics and internationally-inspired dishes, from the iconic shepherd’s pie to the spoiling Champagne afternoon tea and Ivy Royale cocktail.

The critically-acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio has consulted on the brasserie’s interiors, as with The Ivy Collection’s sister sites. Notable features will include an onyx bar, pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet panel flooring and leather banquettes – all creating a stylish, yet laid-back environment for all-day dining. The Ivy Winchester Brasserie will offer a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, holding back a number of tables each day for locals, visitors and passers-by wishing to drop in at their leisure

The brasserie will be overseen by General Manager, Reza Najafi, who has moved to Winchester following his role as General Manager at Scotland’s oldest oyster bar and seafood restaurant; Café Royal Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant in Edinburgh.

Sarah Plunkett, Operations Manager at The Ivy Collection, comments: “Winchester is the perfect setting for the newest addition to The Ivy Collection, which is continuing to grow regionally with a number of sites outside of London. With reservation lines opening today, we cannot wait to welcome local residents and visitors to experience The Ivy Winchester Brasserie.”

The Ivy Collection is a group of restaurants, brasseries and cafés, offering accessible, all-day dining for locals and visitors alike. Each location is carefully handpicked to value, reflect and add to the local area.
