Grand Café in Southampton are well known for their glamorous nights out, live entertainment, food, and their beautiful afternoon teas!
With all of us staying at home more than ever now, they have recently produced these amazing take away afternoon teas! They would be perfect for a stay at home date day, a catch up with friends, or even as a present that you can deliver to a friend or someone who is shielding.
The hamper comes in a beautifully packaged cake tier, with a range of teas, sandwiches, cakes, and of course scones, cream and jam! The one I tried was for two people and was such generous portions it could definitely feed more. You also have the option to order a bottle of bubbly with your afternoon tea too, and of course you can let them know about any dietary requirements!
All the food was fresh and tasty, and the scones were perfect warmed for 5 mins in the oven before tucking in! This was recommended to me by the lovely staff at Grand Café who you can really tell are passionate about proving good food and a little bit of luxury at home. The clotted cream and jam was almost the perfect amount, but could have done with a touch more cream…..
I am definitely recommending this afternoon tea hamper to others, I will keep it in mind for when I want to do something extra special for those who may not be able to get out and about at the moment!
