give a gift southampton

Give a Gift Southampton start their annual fundraising events early this year with a 24 HOUR CHARITY BROADCAST on Southampton’s Voice FM this week.

Starting at 10am on Thursday 10th November and finishing at 10am the following morning, the broadcast promises to be full of festive fun, special guests, giveaways, games and live performances.

Give a Gift Southampton is a registered CIC run by volunteers who all have a personal connection to Southampton General Hospital. Set up roughly 9 years ago, the team uses music and festive events to collect Christmas gifts for children who are unable to be at home on Christmas Day and are instead spending it on the wards.

Jodie and Paul Brough have been at the helm of the company since its inception. 43-year-old disabled music publicist Jodie was born with Spina Bifida and spent a large portion of her teenage years in and out of the hospital, undergoing multiple surgeries to improve her mobility. Paul, 38, suffered with persistent problems with his intestine as a child and underwent several emergency procedures to correct that. The married couple head up a small team of incredible volunteers who help run and organise events, wrap the many gifts that are collected and deliver the presents on Christmas Morning.

The team is the only organisation who visits the hospital on Christmas morning.

This week’s broadcast is the first of 3 events that the team is running this year and are supported by Voice FM, Kaisen Tattoo Studio, Snows Toyota and Crazy Pug Music.
