On Saturday 17 June ‘23, Southampton City Council, partners and friends are proud to be returning to the Southampton O2 Guildhall and Guildhall Square for Southampton’s Big Green Event.
The event will be delivered by the Southern Sustainability Partnership and promises to be packed with stalls from sustainable businesses and organisations where you can shop, see the latest green transport solutions, watch demonstrations, and ask experts questions from greener living to climate change. With World Environment Day on 5 June and National Clean Air Day on 15 June, the event comes at the perfect time to attend.
Southampton’s Big Green Event will be the largest, free green event of this kind in the city. A family friendly event, where there will be something for all ages to enjoy. The day will host many stalls, including partners from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and the Environment Centre with more to come! Like last year, the event will extend to the Guildhall Square where visitors can explore the co-event, Big Green Wheels, hosting green transport options such as electric and hybrid cars
Councillor Lisa Mitchell, Cabinet member for Environment says: “Hosting Southampton’s Big Green Event for a second-year running is so exciting for us all and really helps us underpin the green ambitions for our city. Once again, this event promises to be full of ideas and support to help us make changes to live, work, play and travel more sustainably. There is something for everyone to enjoy and it is free to attend.”
Southampton City Council have appointed The Southern Sustainability Partnership, the renowned team behind commercial events in the city including The Big Sustainability Expo and the Big Sustainability Awards held previously at St. Mary’s Stadium.

The Big Green Event will be taking place at the O2 Guildhall and Guildhall Square, Southampton, on 17 June between 11.00am and 3.30pm. Entry is free.
